Summary: Monolithic, 8A output current, buck converter with adaptive on-time D-CAP3 control mode.
The Texas Instruments TPS568236 synchronous buck converter is an integrated monolithic synchronous buck converter with adaptive real-time D-CAP3 control mode. The converter offers an integrated low R(DS(on)) power MOSFET, providing high efficiency and ease of use with minimal external component count for space-constrained power systems. The D-CAP3 control mode allows low external component count, ease of design, and optimizes power supply design for cost, size, and efficiency. The TPS568236 buck converter features an accurate voltage reference, fast load transient response, auto-skip mode and forced PWM mode for light load efficiency. This buck converter includes OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP, UVLO and adjustable soft-start. The TPS568236 buck converter consists of an internal fixed soft-start of 1ms. For longer soft-start times, this can be achieved using the external SS pin by connecting an external capacitor. The buck converter operates from an input voltage range (V(IN)) of 4.5V to 18V and an output voltage range from 0.6V to 5.5V. The TPS568236 is available in a thermally enhanced 12-pin QFN package with a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
