The diode-integrated PI5USB212 USB 2.0 signal conditioner enhances the signal and applies pre-emphasis to address ISI signal loss in the pre- and post-conditioning channels. The PI5USB212 uses a patent-pending design that maintains stable common mode with symmetrical boost/pre-voltage D+/D-. This device is versatile and suitable for USB host or device applications, whether remote from the USB PHY or away from the connector point. Depending on channel conditions, boost/pre-emphasis and receiver sensitivity levels can be configured via pins or I(2)C mode. Additionally, it can detect and report device connections and high-speed handshakes successfully.
