Abstract: Design evaluation of the DRV8214 brushed DC motor driver with stall detection and ripple counting.
The Texas Instruments DRV8214EVM evaluation module is used to evaluate the DRV8214 brushed DC motor driver with stall detection and ripple counting. This evaluation module is programmed and configured to work abnormally and immediately start spinning the motor. The DRV8214 driver is an integrated motor driver with n-channel h-bridge, charge pump, current sense output, current regulation and protection circuitry. The DRV8214EVM module comes with a GUI for easy control of the motor driver. This evaluation module is suitable for brushed DC motors, solenoid and relay drives, portable printers, point-of-sale (POS) equipment, battery-powered DC motor applications, and more.
