Summary: AEC-Q100 fully integrated h-bridge driver for a wide range of automotive applications.

Texas Instruments DRV8242-Q1 automotive h-bridge driver

The Texas Instruments DRV8242-Q1 Automotive H-Bridge Driver is an AEC-Q100 compliant fully integrated H-bridge driver suitable for a variety of automotive applications. The device provides voltage monitoring, load diagnostics and protection against overcurrent and overtemperature. The DRV8242-Q1 driver is a bidirectional full-bridge driver with PWM or phase enable control and designed on the BiCMOS high-power process technology node. This automotive driver is ideal for automotive brushed DC motors, solenoids, door and seat modules, body control modules (BCM), gas engine systems and on-board chargers.

The DRV8242-Q1 driver provides three hard-wired interfaces HW (H) and two SPI interfaces SPI (P) and SPI (S). The driver integrates an n-channel H-bridge, charge pump regulator, regulated high-side current sensing, current proportional output and protection circuitry.
