Summary: Parallel or serial input, serial output 8-bit shift register with two operating modes.

SN74LV8T165 SN74LV8T165-q1 Texas Instruments

SN74LV8T165/SN74LV8T165-q1 parallel load 8-bit shift register is a parallel or serial input, serial output 8-bit shift register. These devices have two operating modes: load data and shift data, which are controlled by the SH/LD input. The output level supports 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V CMOS levels, referenced to the supply voltage (V(CC)).

The input is designed with a low-threshold circuit to support up-shifting of low-voltage CMOS inputs (for example, 1.2V input to 1.8V output or 1.8V input to 3.3V output). In addition, 5V tolerant input pins support down conversion (for example, 3.3V to 2.5V output). The Texas Instruments SN74LV8T165-Q1 device is qualified for AEC-Q100 automotive applications.
