The Texas Instruments THVD1400V half-duplex RS-422/RS-485 transceiver features flexible I/O powering and integrated IEC ESD protection, providing 5µA of shutdown supply current. The transceiver includes a slew rate control pin (SLR) that can set the transceiver to a maximum 20Mbps mode or a slew rate limited 500kbps mode. The THVD1400V transceiver has a differential output of over 2.1V, is PROFIBUS compatible with 5V supplies, and supports 1.65V to 5.5V low-level logic interfaces.
The THVD1400V transceiver meets or exceeds the requirements of the TIA/EIA-485A standard. The transceiver operates over the -40°C to 125°C temperature range and is available in a 3mm x 3mm VSON (10-pin) package. THVD1400V transceivers are used in factory automation and control, building automation, motor drives, power transmission, industrial transportation, HVAC systems, smart meters and communications infrastructure.
