Summary: Used to compensate for AC and DC losses in transmission channels.

TUSB211A Texas Instruments

The Texas Instruments TUSB211A high-speed signal conditioner is a third-generation USB 2.0 480Mbps conditioner designed to compensate for AC and DC losses in the transmission channel. AC losses are caused by capacitive loads and DC losses are caused by resistive loads. These regulators accelerate the transition edge of USB 2.0 high-speed signals with an edge booster and increase the quiescent level with a DC boost function. The TUSB211A conditioning includes a pre-equalization function to compensate for inter-symbol interference (ISI) jitter in applications with longer cables. These conditioners improve signal quality without adding propagation delay or delay or changing packet timing.

TUSB211A supports OTG (on-go) 2.0, USB 2.0 and BC (Battery Charging) 1.2. These regulators are available in RWB (X2QFN, 12) packages. TUSB211A type is pin compatible with TUSB211, 212, 214, 216, 217A (3.3V). These conditioners are used on tablets, cell phones, TVs, cable extenders, back panels, portable electronics, desktops, laptops and docking stations.
