Abstract: Single channel load switches are designed to achieve fast on-time with low inrush current.
The Texas Instruments TPS22999 on-resistance load switch is a single-channel load switch designed to achieve fast on-time with low inrush current. This load switch features an n-channel MOSFET, operates over an input voltage range of 0.1V to V(BIAS) -1V, and supports a maximum continuous current of 1.5A. The TPS22999 load switch integrates a 5.3-ohm fast output discharge path, allowing reliable system operation when the switch is closed. This load switch has a power good (PG) signal that indicates when the main MOSFET is properly placed in the lowest resistance path. The TPS22999 load switch operates over the -40°C to 105°C free air temperature range and is available in a 0.35mm pitch and 8-pin WCSP package (YCH). Typical applications include wearable devices, solid state drives (SSDs), PCs and laptops, industrial PCs and optical modules.
